Purpose

The author present a new presby-LASIK strategy, to correct presbyopia in the same manner in both eyes

This technique is called IsoVision, that's mean , it can give patient an extend depth of focus , without using a myopic target

the both eyes can achieve a nice and powerful vision at any distances, as the monovision strategy doesn't

Setting

We present a clinical study, including 60 eyes of 30 patients; The follow up is day one, one month , one year .

Methods

All the patients get topographic and refractive criteria inclusions,

The Femto-flap is performed on ZIEMER Z4 plateform, and the Excimer treatment is performed on the EX500 ACON

At first we treat the distance vision with a Wave front optimized Excimer profile , then we add a Custom Q treatment to compensate the presbyopia

We do not use any myopic target, to assure the same image quality at any distance, in each eye

The surgical plan are calculated by the IsoVision software, based on the concept of '' Optic By Dilution ''

Results

Presby-LASIK IsoVision, doesn't care about the dominant non dominant eye

The results are stable by the time of a one year follow up

The monocular and binocular distant visual acuity are symetrical without a gap in intermediate vision , 90% of the eye can achieve 18/20 or more at one month, 93 % of the eye can achieve J1 for near vision at day one

We expose our results about 60 eyes of 30 patients , myopic , emmetropic and hyperopic from 45 years to 72 years , previously pseudophake or not

Conclusions

Presby-LASIK IsoVision can give patient a nice and powerful vision in each eye at any distance , cause it doesn't use a myopic target
