Methods

A retrospective study of patients who underwent penetrating keratoplasty between Jan 2015 to Jan 2025.

Results

Follow up period up to 10years.

The complications noted were Glaucoma in 28, recurrence of the infection in 8, graft rejection in 18, graft failure in 2 patients. On the last follow up 14 patients had vision > 6/60, 6 had between 3/60 to 6/60, and less than 3/60 in 32 patients.

Conclusions

Therapeutic penetrating keratoplasty had poorer outcome. Graft rejection was common in patients with grafts larger than 7.5mm. Post op glaucoma was the most common complication.
