Purpose
To evaluate visual, endothelial, refractive, and safety outcomes of Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) using an EndoGlide pull-through delivery technique in complex eyes within a DSAEK-dominant practice.
Setting
Tertiary academic referral center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Methods
A retrospective–prospective case series of 15 eyes that underwent DMEK with the Endoglide device. All eyes had complex anatomy, such as prior vitrectomy, failed keratoplasty, or advanced bullous keratopathy with stromal scarring. Best-corrected visual acuity, refractive outcomes, endothelial cell loss, and complications were analyzed over 18 months of follow-up.
Results
TBA
Conclusions
EndoGlide-assisted pull-through DMEK expands the feasibility of DMEK in complex eyes, offering controlled graft delivery with satisfactory visual and endothelial outcomes. With careful case selection, it represents a practical strategy to facilitate transition from DSAEK to DMEK in challenging surgical environments.
