Purpose

To evaluate the clinical performance of a new generation non diffractive continuous Full DoFi intraocular lens, representing an evolution of the Lucidis platform (SAV-IOL), in terms of visual outcomes, rotational stability, and patient reported satisfaction. The study aims to provide early prospective data using a structured and standardised assessment protocol.

Setting

Private refractive and cataract surgery center, Centre IRIDIS, Albi, France.

Methods

A prospective clinical study is being conducted including patients undergoing mplantation of the new generation Lucidis intraocular lens. All surgeries are performed by the same surgeon using standardised biometric and perioperative protocols. Primary outcomes include uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA), distance corrected visual acuity (DCVA), intermediate and near visual acuity, and monocular defocus curves measured under controlled photopic conditions. Secondary outcomes include rotational stability assessed through postoperative imaging analysis, contrast sensitivity, photic phenomena evaluation, and patient reported satisfaction and quality of life using validated questionnaires.

Results

Patient enrolment is ongoing and early postoperative results are expected to be available at the time of presentation.

Visual acuity outcomes, defocus curve profiles, and rotational behaviour will be analysed descriptively. Quantitative results and statistical analysis will be presented at the meeting once adequate follow up has been achieved.

Conclusions

Prospective evaluation of new generation continuous Full DoFi designs is essential to determine whether theoretical optical refinements translate into measurable clinical benefit. Standardised assessment of visual performance, rotational stability, and patient reported outcomes may support evidence based integration of updated presbyopia correcting intraocular lenses into routine clinical practice.
