Purpose
To report clinical and refractive outcomes in 380 consecutive eyes undergoing cataract surgery with Lucidis EDOF toric IOL implantation.
Setting
Two tertiary ophthalmic centers, United Arab Emirates
Methods
Retrospective review of consecutive cases performed by a single consultant surgeon. Data analyzed included postoperative visual acuity, residual refractive error, rotational stability of toric component, complication rate, and need for enhancement procedures.
Results
The majority of patients achieved uncorrected distance visual acuity of 20/25 or better. Residual spherical equivalent was within ±0.50 D in most eyes. Toric rotational stability remained within acceptable limits without reoperation. Significant intraoperative or postoperative complications were rare. Overall patient demand for spectacle independence was met with high satisfaction rates.
Conclusions
In a large real-world cohort, Lucidis EDOF toric IOL demonstrated excellent refractive predictability, rotational stability, and functional visual outcomes. The lens provides a dependable premium solution in modern cataract practice.
