Purpose
- Re-validation of the CLOQ questionnaire.
- New automatic paper- and e-based data extraction and analysis of the CLOQ-PROM to save time and reduce errors during data transfer.
Setting
Augenklinik, Rosenheim
Methods
- Monocentric real-world study of 600 patients with pre and post cataract extraction and implantation of monofocal IOL binocular , IRT re-validation of the CLOQ.
- we developed the automatic data-transfer from the paper-based version of the CLOQ for patients without digital access. This QoL and QoV combining questionnaire also evaluated spectacle dependency and overall satisfaction after surgery. Parallel to this we developed the e-CLOQ for patients with digital access. The extracted data of both versions of the questionnaire are pooled to the same target file for calculation of SCORE-values. Thus, we got results of SCORES in an automatic way.
- Mean of patients age, car driving, PC-, smartphones- and eMail using was also evaluated.
Results
- The questionnaire confirmed the validation with IRT analysis in respect to ordinality, model fit, reliability, person-parameter and infit-outfit data.
- The automatic scanning transfer from the paper-based questionnaire showed a 98 % correct recognition. These data and the data of the e-CLOQ were sampled in a hybrid way in the same aiming file for further calculations of the SCORE-Values.
- Demographic data: Patients mean age was 75,6 years, 65 % are car-drivers, 40 % used PC, 55 % used smartphones and only 35 % had excess to eMail.
Conclusions
We reconfirmed the validation of the CLOQ successfully (n= 600 patients and 1200 questionnaires) in respect of Qol, QoV, spectacle dependency and patients’ satisfaction. Both groups of patients – paper-based and e-based – used there tools successfully. The correct recognition within in paper-based version was very high and is now applicable. All Data were automatically processed in our questionnaire collector to get SCORE-values. Thus, we reduced the burden of time-consuming data transfer and also of data transmission error. After finalization of this eCLOQ Tools it can be used from others
