Purpose
While the outcomes of cataract surgery are remarkably positive, complications do still occur, some of which require
intraocular lens (IOL) explantation. Surgical management is challenging, with numerous IOL types/methods of implantation requiring different techniques for explantation. We tried to demonstrate use of an annovative portable ultrasonic intraocular lens cutting device in an IOL exchange .
Setting
We did retrospective study of 10 patients we underwent Intraocular lens exchange with our innovative new ultrasonic IOL cutting device from 01/01/2025 to 01/10/2025 .
Methods
We will discuss the indications, complications, general principle and specific steps for this approach of explantation.
Results
There we were no major complication post operative for all 10 eyes who underwent IOL expalntation .
Conclusions
This technique is safe . Will little experience and more refinement ,this instrument can be a handy tool for every eye surgeon.
