Purpose
To present clinical experience with implantation of the RayOne Galaxy intraocular lens (IOL) and to evaluate postoperative visual acuity for distance and near vision.
Setting
Medico Laser Clinic, Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina; April – October 2025.
Methods
This retrospective case series included nine patients (15 eyes) who underwent standard phacoemulsification with implantation of the RayOne Galaxy IOL. All patients were followed postoperatively for one month. Uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) and near visual acuity were recorded, and postoperative complications were analyzed.
Results
The mean postoperative UCVA was 0.82. Near visual acuity of J1 was achieved all of 9 patients. Complications were rare, including posterior capsule rupture in one patient, YAG capsulotomy in three cases, and residual postoperative corneal astigmatism in one patient.
Conclusion
The RayOne Galaxy IOL demonstrated excellent refractive outcomes, good biocompatibility, and a reduced incidence of dysphotopsias, making it a reliable option for modern cataract surgery.
