Purpose

To evaluate the optic performance of full range of field (FULL-Rof) refractive/EDOF hybrid IOL in post refractive cases

Setting

Veni Vidi Eye Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey

Methods

Three eyes of two patients with history of myopic and hyperopic LASIK within 20 years underwent phacoemulsification by one single surgeon. All eyes were implanted with (FULL-Rof ) refractive/EDOF hybrid IOL. The follow-up period was three months. The uncorrected distance, intermediate, and near visual acuities (UDVA, UIVA, UNVA), corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), spherical equivalent (SE), defocus curve, spectacle independence, and dysphotopsia were assessed.

Results

Mean postoperative SE at 3-month was -0.39 D±0.227 D. Mean monocular UDVA, UIVA and UNVA (logMAR) at last visit were 0.04767D ±0.0448, 0.1332 D ±0.0471  and 0.1333 D ±0.0533 respectively. None of the patients reported halos and glare in postoperative 3 months, and none of them needed to use spectacles to improve the near, intermediate and distance visual acuity.

Conclusions

(FULL-Rof) refractive/EDOF hybrid IOL implantation after excimer laser correction could restore good distance, intermediate visual acuity and near visual acuity, and provide accurate refractive outcomes as well as high spectacles independence rate.
