Purpose
To discuss management of perforated corneal ulcer in association with femtosecond laser and Phakic IOL
Setting
Single center
Report of case
One Eye with perforated corneal ulcer and hypopyon undergo 5 operations (OVER THREE YEARS), 2 of them using femtosecond laser.
Perforated Corneal Ulcer with Hypopyon and UCVA HM undergo condensed treatment to treat the hypopyon in parallel with an operation to close the perforation
This followed by FemtoCatarcat surgery then Femtokeratoplasty (over one year) , Followed by Phakic IOL implantation over the Previous implanted IOL to correct residual errors to reach UCVA 0.5 & BCVA 0.7.
Conclusion/Take home message
Perforated Corneal Ulcer is not always an end stage; Patient could gain more than expected Visual Acuity if good management was done to him
