Purpose
Analysis of the results of refractive lensectomy (RLE) with the EDOF Vivity and Vivity Toric IOL (Alcon, USA) implantation in patients with hyperopia and presbyopia.
Setting
Eye Microsurgery Сenter VOKA, Minsk, Belarus
Methods
Retrospective analysis of 68 cases of a RLE with implantation of Vivity and Vivity Toric IOL (Alcon, USA) in patients with hyperopia, presbyopia at the age of 57.09 ± 6.68 years.
Uncorrected visual acuity (VA) before surgery 0.33 ± 0.20, best corrected VA 0.94±0.09, refraction sph 1.90 ± 0.76 min, 0.25 D / max 4.75 D; cyl 1.06 ± 0.64, min 0.25 D / max 4.0 D; corneal astigmatism: 1.07 ± 0.57, min 0.16 D / max 4.30 D; axial length 23.15 ± 0.70 mm, min 21.76 mm / max 24.57 mm. DFT015-DFT315, DFT515 were implanted.
Results
The following results were obtained in 3 months after the surgery: uncorrected distant VA 0.95 ± 0.06, intermideate VA (60 - 70 cm) 0.53 ± 0.06, functional near VA
(45 cm) 0.55 ± 0.11refraction sph 0.21 ± 0.36; cyl -0,70± 0.73.
Conclusions
An analysis of the results of refractive lensectomy with the EDOF Vivity and Vivity Toric IOL (Alcon, USA) implantation in patients with hyperopia and presbyopia in 3 months after
surgery showed an improvement in visual acuity in far, middle and near distances and stabilization of the obtained refractive effect.
