Purpose
To compare the white-to-white (WTW) measurements using Anterion and IOL Master 700 in patients implanted with implantable collamer lens (ICL)
Setting
Private Eye Hospital, Mumbai, India
Methods
This is a prospective study where ICL candidates, aged between 20-35 years were included. Patients with any ocular disease or systemic disease were excluded. All patients underwent WTW measurements using Anterion, IOL master 700 and manual measurements. The data was collected by a single technician. One-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation were used to compare and correlate the data respectively.
Results
16 eyes of 8 patients with a mean±SD age of 25.52±3.50 years were included. The mean difference in IOL master-Anterion, IOL Master- Manual and Anterion-manual was 0.22, 0.32, and 0.10 mm respectively. We did not find any significant difference in WTW measurement obtained using all three methods (One-way ANOVA, p=0.08). All three methods showed a strong significant positive correlation with each other (P<0.01).
Conclusions
Non statistical significant difference was noted among all three methods to measure WTW.
