Setting
Raghudeep Eye Hospital, Ahmedabad, India
Methods
Prospective, interventional series in 40 eyes (40 patients) undergoing phacoemulsification for uncomplicated, age related cataracts and pre-existing stable, early dry age-related macular degeneration (AREDS criteria) will be included. Monocular uncorrected and corrected distance visual acuity (LogMAR), uncorrected and distance corrected intermediate visual acuity (UIVA, DCIVA) at 66 centimeters, uncorrected and distance corrected near visual acuity (UNVA, DCNVA) at 40 centimeters will be documented at 3 months follow up.
