Purpose
To analyze the visual outcomes and rotational stability of the Clareon Toric intraocular lens. Secondarily, we evaluated surgeon-induced astigmatism.
Setting
Lexum, Brno, Česká republika
Methods
In a group of 45 eyes, biometric measurements were performed on the IOL Master 700, topography on the Pentacam, objective refraction and keratometry on the Nidek ARK-1. Subjective refraction was done on the Topcon CV 5000 phoropter and the Topcon cc-100xp LCD Optotype. Contrast sensitivity measurements were taken using a modified Pelli-Robson technique on the Topcon cc-100xp LCD Optotype. At 3 months after uncomplicated cataract surgery with Clareon Toric (Alcon) implantation, subjective refraction, deviation of the final refraction from the calculated intention, rotational stability and contrast sensitivity were determined.
Results
The monocular distance-corrected visual acuity was 1.13 ±0.16 The contrast sensitivity was 1.09 ±0.07. The rotational stability was 1.5 ±1.66 degrees.
Conclusions
In our experience, Clareon Toric provided excellent distance vision and rotational stability.
