Setting
Nethradhama superspecialty eye hospital, Bangalore ,India
Report of case
Patient underwent Presbyond LBV on 19th June 2020 . Right eye dominant +1.5 tolerance test pass .
Pentacam, BAAD map and itrace was carried out as a preoperative diagnostic tests .
By 3 months, got little adjusted and trained herself to apply eyeliner with chin lift and partially opened eye. After around 2.5 years patient revisited the hospital with compliants of applying eyeliner to her left eye .
BE regressed, hyperopia increased, and presbyopia progressed
Consequently, Left eye became emmetropic and right eye distance vision dropped.
Patient underwent presbyond enhancement surgery .
2 weeks post enhancement – not so satisfied due to dry eye issues. Patient was started on lubracating drops and ointment .
3 Month post enhancement – finally happy
Conclusion/Take home message
- Presbyond enhancement surgery was successful in improving the patients vision , leading to increased satisfaction with her routine activitiez as an event manager . This suggests that that enhancement procedure effectively addressed her intitial concerns and significantly improved her quality of life .
- Females conscious about beauty / aesthetically demanding professions (actresses, models, stage performers/ beauticians who work very close to the client and use alternate eyes)
