Purpose

To describe the vault measurement by using different types of AS-OCT and accessed the accuracy of vault measurement.

Setting

Clínica Baviera, Madrid, Spain.

Methods

This was a retrospective, cross-sectional, observational study. All patients underwent implantable Collamer lens (ICL) implantation surgery without complications. The AS-OCT analyses were conducted for each eye with 24-hs difference in the same condition with Spectral domain OCT (Cirrus 6000, Revo Nx130 and Optovue Solix) and Swept Source OCT (Casia2). Measurements of ICL thickness (tICL), and vault values were made and recorded. Correlations between AS-OCT measurements made with these different analytical approaches were assessed.

Results

The measurements of vault made with three of AS-OCT (Cirrus, Optovue and Casia2) were highly reliable and these differences were not significant (p > 0,05).  However, measurements made with Revo OCT overestimate the vault significantly (p < 0.05). We found an error factor of 0.6688.

Conclusions

Good correlations and agreement were observed between Cirrus, Casia2 and Optovue OCT. The Revo OCT significately overestimated the vault measurements.
