Purpose

We aim to show that many corneal diseases are treated when the corneal shape (Q value) is changed when the fresh myopic  intrastromal keratoplasty (Sutureless keratoplasty) according to the topography

Setting

Eye Hospital,Pristina,Kosovo

Methods

There are three groups in this study. Sutureless keratoplasty was performed in each group according to the corneal topography using the Smile module. first group, 60 eyes with advanced keratoconus with an indication for corneal transplantation were included in this study. Second group, high hyperopia and astigmatism, forty eyes of 30 patients between the ages 20 to 50. The third group, hyperopia, and presbyopia, had 50 eyes of 25 patients aged 40-50 years. All patients were followed for three years.

Results

In the first group, the preoperatively Q value increased from -0,80 ± 0.07 to -0,48 ± 0.03 (P < .001) 3 years postoperatively. In the second group, the Q value decreased from − 0.50 ± 0.04 preoperatively to − 0.78 ± 0.05  (P < .001),3 years postoperatively. In the third group, Q value decreased from  Q Value, -0.31 ± 0.07  preoperatively to,-0.94 ±0.04  (P < .001) 3 years postoperatively.

Conclusions

This surgical method modifies according to the topography the geometry of the cornea by focusing on changing Q value. Sutureless keratoplasty has been observed that many corneal patients can be treated safely, successfully, reliably, and effectively in the future. I do, I see and I believe.
