Results
At the time of analysis, 31 bilaterally treated subjects completed the 12-month visit and 29 filled out a questionnaire. The summed (e.g., completely satisfied, very satisfied, and somewhat satisfied) results showed 97% reported being satisfied with the results, 97% were satisfied with visual recovery time, 93% were satisfied with speed of resolution of any postop symptoms, 93% felt the surgery met their visual expectations, 100% were wearing glasses none of the time, 97% felt they achieved their goals for SMILE, 93% were happy they had SMILE, 93% would choose SMILE if they had to do it all over again, and 97% would recommend SMILE to a friend or family member. One subject would not have SMILE again and one subject was unhappy.
