COMPARISM OF TWO DIFFERENT MONOFOCAL PLUS IOLS

To compare the optical and functional results of two monofocal plus IOLs, Acunex Quantum and Tecnis Eyhance

In a prospective case study from April 2022  until December 2022  we implanted LENTIS Enhance in one eye and in the interval of 4 week Acunex Quantum   in the second eye of the same patients .We evaluated the preoperative refraction, postoperative uncorrected (UCVA), best corrected (BCVA) for distance and post-op refraction. Distance corrected intermediate visual acuity, wave front results were tested. The follow up was three months after implantation. The quality of vision, glare, halos and the personal satisfaction of the patients was assessed with a validated questionnaire.

Three months after the Implantation of Tecnis Eyhance UCVA was 0,88, of Acunex Quantum the mean UCVA for distance  was 0,9. The intermediate visus was, 0,78  and 0,76.

The defocus curve was comparable for both IOls.

None of the patients   monocular or binocular complained about glare and halos.84% of the patients were satisfied with the achieved results,8% moderately satisfied, 8% not satisfied.

Tecnis Eyhance and Acunex Quantum provide comparable very good visual acuity for distance, intermediate.

The independence of glasses after implantation of both monofocal + IOLs and satisfaction was very high.
