One aphakic patient after a complicated cataract surgery was operated with a double flanged Canabrava technique. A subluxated cataract patient was solved with a tension bag ring and a Ahmed segment fixated with a single Canabrava suture. The last patient had a subluxated IOL with a four haptics design because of an inadverted posterior bag rupture, a double flanged suture allow us to stabilizate the IOL without an exchange.
Results
All patients were successfully managed and no intraoperative complications were observed. One of them developed post surgical macular edema that required medical treatment with topical NSAIDs. All patients had a best corrected visual acuity of 20/30 or greater.

It is an effective technique that does not require a lot of material resources. Surgeons with some experience in complicated cataract or secondary implant will be able to successfully perform this surgery with a short learning curve.
