Aim of the work.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the patient’s performance and quality of life related to vision after implantation of enhanced monofocal non-diffractive RayOne EMV (Rayner, UK) intraocular lens.
UCDVA was 0.01 logMAR (-0.10-0.20), mean UCIVA at 70 cm was 0.2 logMAR
(0.18-0.4), mean UCNVA for 40cm was 0.5 logMAR (0.4-0.6). Mean residual refractive error was less than -0,50D. Mean result of VF-14 questionnaire was 85/100 points. Occurrence of halo and glare was very low and none of the patient reported halos or glare disturbing driving at night.
Defocus curve showed visual acuity up to within 0.2 logMAR up to distance of 70 cm.
RayOne EMV intraocular lens provides good visual acuity for distant and intermediate distances. Rate of adverse visual effects is very low. This intraocular lens provide high patients satisfaction.
