Methods
A total of 20 patients (40 eyes) have been implanted with Vivity IOL. At 1-months follow-up, visual acuities (VAs), contrast sensitivity (CS), red-green (RG) and yellow-blue (YB) color vision results were compared with preoperative results. The color vision was evaluated Ishihara and CAD (Color assessment and diagnosis test, City Occupational Ltd., London, England) test. CS was evaluated Optec FVA (Functional Vision Analyzer, Stereo Optical Co., Inc., Chicago, IL, USA)
Results
Conclusions
These results suggest that Vivity IOL provide better visual outcomes compared to preoperative results and seems to represent a good choice. On the other hand, CS and color vision are important to measure functional success after IOL implantation.A decrease in contrast sensitivity was observed after Vivity IOL implantation.Although not below the normal values, a decrease in color vision values was also observed.
