To show that to treat both distance and near visual acuity without any complications by changing the corneal Q value by implanting fresh myopic lenticule with the Smile module in hyperopia patients.
EYE HOSPITAK,PRISTINA,KOSOVO
Patient and SurgicalTechnical
A 52-year-old female patient with hyperopia has been using glasses for both distance and near vision for twelve years.
The right cornea is transparent, CCT,512 μm and UDVA,0.1, CDVA,1.0 with +2,50 diopters and to:15 mm Hg,
UNVA, J 7, CNVA, J 2 with +5.0.
The left cornea is transparent, CCT,518 μm, and UDVA,0.2, CDVA,1.0 with +2,0 diopters,to:18 mmHg, UNVA, J7, CNVA, J2 with +4,50 diopters.
Methods
A 3 mm incision in the right cornea, an intrastromal pocket of 7.60 mm in diameter was prepared with the Smile Module and a -2.50 myopic fresh lenticule was implanted. A 3 mm incision and 7.60 intrastromal pockets were prepared in the left cornea and a -2,0 myopic lenticule was implanted.
Results
The patient was followed for one year. No complications were observed in the patient, the cornea was transparent, right and left UDVA,1.0.
Right and left UNVA had an increase in J 2 one year after preop J 7.
The patient did not need glasses for distance and near vision after the operation.
That is the case of intrastromal implantation of myopic diopter lenticule for hyperopia and presbyopia patients, corneal Q value can be changed .
It can be successfully treated in both distance and near vision.
