Purpose
The objective of this study was to analyze the visual and refractive outcomes obtained in cataract patients implanted with the Liberty Toric 677MTY intraocular lens.
Setting
Methods
20 age-related cataract patients with regular corneal astigmatism between 1 and 6 D were considered to be included in the study. This was single-center prospective study was approved by the Ethics Committee and conducted in accordance with the tenets of the Declaration of Helsinki. Visual and refractive outcomes after Liberty Toric 677MTY intraocular lens implantation will be shown.
Results
The main outcome measures related to visual outcomes obtained in this study will be binocular visual acuity at different distances, specially at far, intermediate (66 cm) and near (40 cm) distances, and binocular defocus curve (vision at different vergences from +1.00 to -4.00 D). Refractive error (sphere, astigmatism and spherical equivalent) will be obtained to show the accuracy of the procedure with the assessment using double-angle plots between preoperative corneal astigmatism and postoperative refractive astigmatism. Considering the toric platform of the IOL, the rotational stability will be also analyzed. Intra- and post-operative complications were also recorded at 3-month post-surgery.
