Purpose

discuss new techniques for management of fungal keratitis.

Setting/Venue

Assiut University Hospital

Methods

use of fluconazole loaded liposomes (10 eyes),intrastromal injection(10 eyes),corneal crosslinking (10eyes)or ozonated saline(10 eyes)for treatment of cases of resistant fungal keratitis.

Results

Much better responce tothese lines in comparison to traditional treatment with cure rate of 80% ,60%,70% and 80% for liposomes,intrastroml injection,crosslinking and ozonated saline consequntily.

Conclusions

Non traditional treatment may make breakthrough in treatment of resistant fungal keratitis.
