She noted that Prof Hitchings, Professor Emeritus of Glaucoma and Allied Sciences at the University of London and honorary consultant ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, UK, has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers in the field of glaucoma and has also served as a highly respected president of the European Glaucoma Society. “I am particularly honoured to accept this award, because it is in fact the 25th anniversary of the founding of the EBO. This is clearly a landmark,” said Prof Hitchings.
