The winner of the 2015 ESCRS Practice Development and Management Marketing Competition is nordBLICK Eye Hospital Bellevue, Germany.
The winning entry involved sponsorship of a golf tournament with free screenings for refractive surgery.
According to judges, Paul Rosen, chair of the ESCRS Practice Development Committee, and Kristine Morrill, the entry from Nordblik best captured the spirit of the case competition - to showcase a marketing campaign that can be done by any practice, utilizing a small budget, with measurable results and return on investment.
Nordblik representatives, Tim Herbst, the project manager and Dr Jörg Förster said after being named the winners that marketing is key investment for the hospital with every effort made to measure how effective a particular investment is.
The Nordblik team receives a €1,000 bursary to attend the XXXIII ESCRS Congress for next year's meeting, as well the opportunity to present their winning case.
