Abstract Details

To evaluate the success of SF6 tamponade in detached descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK) grafts

Haydarpasa Numune Education and Research Hospital, Ophthalmology Clinic

Eighty eyes of eighty patients who underwent DSAEK in our cornea clinic were investigated. Graft detachment was seen in 14 eyes. 20 % SF6 was injected into the anterior chamber to reattach the grafts.

Although 20 % SF6 was injected, graft did not reattached only in one eye. In 13 eyes, all grafts were reattached successfully after 20 % SF6 injection.

Any complications as increased intraocular pressure or fix dilated pupil were not observed. SF6 is a safe and effective tamponade for detached DSAEK grafts.
