To study the effectiveness of customised toric IOLs in cataract and refractive lensectomy in patients with high hepermetropia degree and astigmatism

Under the survey there were 10 patients (20 eyes) from 38 to 58 years (50,28 ± 10,90), men-2, women- 8. Refractive SE from +6 D to +10 D, astigmatism degree from 2 D to 5D. UCVA from 0,01 to 0,08, BCVA from 0,2 to 0,7. Phaco and resractive lensectomy with the MICS technology was provided on Stellaris device. In bilateral cases the second prosedure was made in 5-7 days after the first one. The IOL calculations was made via the Oculentis Toric (LU-313T) online calculator. UCVA, SE and cylindric refractive component also the IOL stability in capsular bag was checked


The refraction was checked on the next day, one week, one, three, six months after the surgery. On the second day postop the SE was from (+)0,25D to (-) 0,75. In one month the SE was from (+)0,25D to (-)0,5D, the astigmatism degree was from 0,5 to 0,75 D. UCVA was 0,5-1,0.


The cataract surgery and refractive lensectomy with Customised Oculentis IOLs are the effective method of high degree hypermetropia with corneal astigmatism correction. Customised Toric Oculentis IOL provides stable, prediclable refractive effect, fast rehabilitation and minimize the abberations in contrast of bioptic surgery, improving level of life that broads the opportunities of refractive surgery.
