A study of being useful dexamethazone ampul during several days after Lasek Surgery and it’s comparison to placebo.

Moshref hospital

There are 3 groups as A,B and C in this study. Group A includes 40 patients with Dexamethazone ampul during several days after Lasek Surgery in addition to an usual therapy. Group B includes 40 pattients with placebo during several days after Lasek Surgery in addition to an usual therapy. Group C includes 40 patients with only on usual therapy during several days after surgery. Above mentioned groups were studied in terms of decreasing symptoms after surgery , and then , patients without symptoms or trival symptoms were separated.

These 3 groups we can conclude that although patients don’t have contraindecation to apply Dexamethazone , it is advised as single dose one day after surgery and even it is occurrence during 3 days can relatively adecrease inflammation and symptoms. What is more considerable is that results after 5 days shows less interval between 3 groups than first 48 hours. Also , it means more effect of medicine during first 48 hours . It needs to say application of Dexamethazone with other therapies will be common (e.g Bethametazone drop , ciprofloxacin drop , chloramphenicol drop and NSAIDs)

It is recommended to apply Dexamethazone in some cases without contraindication with common therapies. It leads to decrease inflammation and symptoms particularly during first 48 hours and then during first 5 days.
