Abstract Details

To evaluate the results of the use of the Sulcoflex IOL in various cases where the refractive outcome was dissatisfying after phaco surgery and that were unsuitable for refractive laser surgery on the cornea.

Eye Clinic De Horsten in Wassenaar

In 6 patients (8 eyes) we implanted a Sulcoflex IOL, in 3 cases after a primary multifocal IOL and in the other cases after conventional phaco-emulsification. The postoperative period varied between 3 and 12 months.

In all but one case the postoperative outcome was within 0.5 D of the refractive goal. We didn't encounter any complications.

Using the Sulcoflex IOL as an add-on in pseudophakic eyes unsuitable for refractive laser surgery gives a predictable and stable postoperative result up to one year after implantation.
