Learn, Share & Network

This social media toolkit was devised to help you reach out, get involved and continue the conversation online before, during and after the XXXV ESCRS Congress. The Society is present on a number of key social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, to ensure the greatest visibility and to help increase the reach of the Congress.

Join the conversation with #ESCRS17
The event will be using the hashtag #ESCRS17 across all social media platforms to allow attendees and followers from afar to join and stay engaged in the conversation during the congress.
By clicking on the hashtag from one of the tweets, posts or pictures, it will bring you to all of the posts with #ESCRS17 on the specific social media platform you are using, tuning you in to all the great conversations and events happening online around ESCRS.

TWITTER - Making the most of 140 characters
Twitter is the easiest social network to get up and running on and is the quickest way to share and receive informative updates happening around you in real-time at the XXXV ESCRS Congress. Even though tweets are only 140 characters, you will find a wide range of information on Twitter and it is often the first place that you will find the breaking news content of the ophthalmic publications over the course of the congress.

So Now You’re Ready To Tweet
Where to start: Retweet a valuable tweet from someone else to share with your followers and show that you value the user’s opinion/information

Similar to a friend's profile, Facebook Pages enable businesses, organisations and other entities to create an authentic and public presence on Facebook.  Facebook Pages are visible to everyone on the internet by default. You, and every person on Facebook, can connect with these Pages by becoming a fan and then receive their updates in your News Feed and interact with them. The ESCRS Facebook page will feature updates throughout the duration of the congress including session and programme information along with news and reports from the podium.

Instagram is an online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing, and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos for sharing either publicly or privately on the app. In addition you can share your Instagram posts through a variety of other connected social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Flickr. Take a look through the @ESCRS Instagram feed to see highlights from each day during the ESCRS Congress in Copenhagen and  if you join in make sure to hashtag your conference Instagram posts with @ESCRS and #ESCRS16

LinkedIn is a professional networking platform that allows attendees to digitally connect with the contacts they make throughout the congress. Just like Facebook and Twitter you can connect with individuals/companies as well as posting updates to your network. ‘LinkedIn Company Pages’ allow you to keep up to date with the latest news and opportunities from companies that you are interested in, while ‘LinkedIn Groups’ allow people with similar interests to connect and have discussions surrounding a variety of topics. On the ESCRS LinkedIn company page you will find links to our latest media offerings and reports from congresses.
