About Practice Development

Great ophthalmologists do not necessarily make great business experts. For that reason, in 2008 the ESCRS, in co-operation with the society’s news magazine EuroTimes, established a Practice Development Programme specifically aimed at eye surgeons.

The purpose of this programme , under the guidance of the ESCRS Practice Development Committee chaired by Paul Rosen, UK, is to get business and management experts to advise doctors on how they can run their practices successfully.This is being done through a series of Workshops and Masterclasses hosted at the annual ESCRS Congresses each year and through other initiatives currently under development at ESCRS.
