Abstract Details

Purpose: To report a case of bilateral peripheral sterile corneal infiltrates after photorefractive keratectomy (PRK).

Case report

Result: The patient received topical treatment by steroid and antibiotic with complete resolution of the corneal infiltrates and final BCDVA of 20/25 with faint corneal scarring.

Peripheral sterile corneal infiltrate can occur after PRK with excellent prognosis. The infectious causes should be suspected. The most likely cause could be the postoperative use of topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents like diclofenac sodium via immunological mechanisms FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
