To report a case of malignant glaucoma and cataract traumatic which was successfully treated with posterior sclerotomy

Case report. BCVA, applanation tonometry and slit lamp examination were performed at baseline examination and during follow up period. The patient underwent sclerotomy posterior and lens extraction to treat the malignant glaucoma and cataract traumatic


59 years old man presented with pain on his right eye. History cornea rupture and cataract traumatic, treatment of asetazolamide administration and discontinuation of cycloplegics and repair of cornea rupture and periphery iridectomy. The BCVA was 1/300, IOP was 41 mmHg, anterior chamber was flat, with patent periphery iridectomy.. Ultrasounds B-scan examination revealed slightly opacity in the vitreous. The surgeon performed posterior sclerotomy and phacoemulsification with IOL in peribulbar anesthesia. Five weeks after surgery the BCVA was 6/30, the IOP 17 mmHg, anterior chamber was formed
