To evaluate the outcome and peroperative problems encountered in corneal laceration sutured with topical and intracameral anaesthesia

Retrospective analysis of details on case notes of patients who had corneal laceraton sutured under topical and intracameral anaesthesia with air into anterior chamber for one year from february 2011. no sedation was given. peroperative problems and postoperative outcome evaluated


09 patients and all between 30 and 50 years.08 had uneventful surgery. one had to convert to general anaesthesia due to involvement of long scleral laceration. no major post operative problems encountered


Topical and intracameral anaesthesia for corneal laceration suturing seems to be good safe option in busy practice to avoid general anaesthesia FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
