To report 14 cases of Conjunctival lymphangiectasia and to describe its histopathological features, clinical presentation and the outcome after treatment

Retrospective review of patients with symptomatic Conjunctival lymphangiectasia. Clinical data including medical history, physical examination previous surgery history were collected in 14 patients with Conjunctival lymphagiectasia. Ocular data including slit lamp biomicroscopy were included as were the results of histopathology. All patients underwent surgical excision of the involved conjunctiva


14 eyes of the 14 patients (male and female) with biopsy-proven Conjunctival lymphangiectasia underwent resection. In these fourteen patients reported, patients kept healthy without any recurrence, visual acuity were not affected. Pathological report showed large lymphatic vessels, cystic tissue consisted of squamous epithelium with significant hyperplasia


Conjunctival lymphangiectasia is an uncommon, often overlooked cause for Conjunctival swelling were it interferes with the vision or causes other symptoms; Conjunctival resection is the best treatments of choice
