Abstract Details

Purpose:

To asses if there is a need to repeat biometry measurements in patients who come years later for their cataract surgery

Setting:

District General Hospital

Methods:

We compared the Axial length and K readings of 13 patients who had the same measurements done more than a year earlier with similar measurements done now

Results:

There was no statistical difference between the present readings and the old readings for both axial length and keratometry readings.

Conclusions:

There is no need to repeat the Biometry readings for patients who come years later for their cataract surgeries if they had their measurements done previously
