A prize of €1000 is awarded to the best cataract and refractive poster presentations of the Congress.

A second prize of €500 is also awarded in each category.

Poster presentations are judged by an international panel according to the following criteria:

- Originality
- Scientific Quality
- Relevance to Clinical Practice
- Presentation

The prizes are awarded during the Congress Opening & Awards Ceremony at 18.30 on Sunday 11th September 2005. In order to receive the prize, the poster presenters must be present at the ceremony.
