Tours - Sunday 14 September

Classic Tour

Berlin – a city constantly changing and full of contrast, both historic
and futuristic. You will be taken on a bus tour where the experienced
tour guides will lead you through the streets of Berlin stopping at
monuments and sights such as the Brandenburg Gate, German
Reichstag, Potsdamer Platz, Checkpoint Charlie and much more. Enjoy
Berlin and its Classics!

Berlin Wall Tour

Experience the history of the Berlin Wall and visit the famous
Checkpoint Charlie which during the Cold War was the main gateway
between the two Berlins. See the remains of the Wall and Bernauer
Strasse, a street that was split into two different worlds after 13
August 1961, as well as the East Side Gallery where 120 artists painted
the history of the wall on a 1.3 kilometre long part of the wall.

Potsdam Tour (includes lunch)

Potsdam, the former Prussian capital and the city which best reflects the
splendour of Prussian history, can be reached easily from Berlin by bus.
The renowned gardens and palaces, including Palace Sanssouci, are
international attractions, designated a ‘World Cultural Heritage Site’ in
1990 by UNESCO.There will be a guided tour through the magnificent
parks.The tour also takes you through the Dutch and Russian quarters,
passing by Cecilienhof Castle, built in the style of an English manor house,
where the Potsdam Treaty was signed by the Allied Powers in 1945.

Berlin Inside Tour

Inside Berlin means you will discover Berlin from its stylish newest areas,
discovering the neighbourhoods and trendy scenes of districts such as
Prenzlauer Berg, transformed from war-scarred backwater to hipster
haven, Friedrichshain with its unique urban culture and Charlottenburg, a
300-year-old area around Savigny Platz. The tour will pass by the
German Museum of Technology, the Embassy Quarter and the
Hauptbahnhof, the new central station of modern Berlin.

Jewish Berlin

Visit Berlin’s Jewish district, home to a thriving Jewish community
which is devoted to the preservation and promotion of Jewish history
and culture.You will also take part in a unique and thought-provoking
museum tour which takes you to the impressive Jewish Museum in
Berlin.The permanent historical exhibition ‘Culture & Continuity – the
Jewish Experience’ brings you on an expedition through two millennia
of German-Jewish history.
