Abstract Details



Purpose:

To design new Approach of Combined Lasik and a small apperture Inlay procedure for correction of emmetropia and presbyopia, correcting both distant and near vision.

Setting:

Elite Eye Center, Riyadh-Saudi Arabia

Methods:

in the new approach we are proposing, hoping to improve all the above mentioned points or disadvantages of the standard technique. It starts with getting accutarget map, activating the PTK by excimer laser, offseting the PTK, shooting the PTK on the cornea, staining the area with fluorescein, setting the femto-second laser machine to do a 2 sessions treatment, a pocket, centered around the marked area & creating a flap for correction of the distant vision, centered around the marked area

Results:

New Surgical Approach For Correction Of Ametropia & Presbyopia Using FS Laser & Small Aperture Inlay is better than the current Approach, with better management of Centration, Dryness, Biomechanics, Deep ablation, Surgical stress & Enhancement.

Conclusions:

New Surgical Approach For Correction Of Ametropia & Presbyopia Using FS Laser & Small Aperture Inlay is better than the current Approach, regarding Centration, Dryness, Biomechanics, Deep ablation, Surgical stress & Enhancement.
