To present outcomes of second IOL implantation in psudophakic eyes for refractive error.
Dept. of Ophthalmology, District Railway Hospital, Katowice, Poland, Dept. of Ophthalmology, St. Barbara Hospital, Sosnowiec, Poland
17 patients with refractive errors after cataract surgery required correction. Errors ranged from patents +2,25D to -8,0D. There were 3 mistakes in IOL calculation (all in myopia), others myopic did not accept monovision. 2 patients had hypermetropic over correction. We final refraction and VA.
6 months after sulcus lens implantation all patients had refractive error from 0,0D to -0,37D. Induced astigmatism ranged from 0,25D to 0,67D. Mean VA for far was 0,97ḟ0,01. I one eye trancient IOP elevation was observed.
Correction of postoperative refraction error with lenses implanted to the sulcus effectively reduces unaccepted by patient refractive result of primary surgery.
