Abstract Details

Purpose:

Evaluation of the quality of vision and quality of life after implantation with M+ Comfort, with an asymmetric addition +1.5 dioptrie.

Setting:

Clinique de la Vision, Paris France

Methods:

Thirty cataract patients bilaterally operated were included. Evaluation took place 1 to 6 month post-op.

Results:

30 patients had their near, far and intermediate visual acuities with and without correction measured as well as their near vision reading speed (Salsbourd reading desk) and defocus curve. Quality of life and contrast sensitivity were evaluated.

Conclusions:

Intermediate vision correlates with the quality of life response. These intermediate multifocal IOLs offer a response to the growing visual independance expectations of our patients.
