To study and evaluate the visual outcome in post RK cases with ICL and Toric implants
The cases were operated at out center VISION NEXT PUNE
All the post RK cases were evaluated in terms of refraction, topography, corneal biomechanics and stability of refraction. depending upon the refractive error those patients were treated with ICL or Toric implants. visual outcome was measured in terms of visual acuity, contrast sensitivity. Almost a follow up of 6 to 12 months was taken. total 14 eyes of 9 patients were treated. the average refractive error was -6.0 dsph and the cylindrical power was -3 diopter. 12 plain and 2 toric implants were done.
All the patients had visual improvement in terms of visual acuity. 8 patients had one line improvement compare to preoperative visual acuity. one patient had post operative glare problem. the vision was stable postoperatively.
ICL surgery works very well in post op RK cases with stable visual acuity.
