A study of monozygot and dizygot twins in terms of factors relating to Orbscan and refraction

A Comparison between all of monozygot and dizygot twins and sibling observer population and non-relative observer population in terms of refraction and factors relating to ORBSCAN.




There is 4 groups in this research. These groups are as follows ; monozygot twins in group A , dizygot twins in group B , sibling observer population in group C ( sister-sister , brother – sister , brother – brother ) , and non-relative observer population. Also , above mentioned groups were compared in terms of thinnest cornea, pupil diameter, keratometer factors and refraction. These factors were similar to each other in this comparison so that this result was important for us. As you see in the following table , there is total number of population in each group and each of these factors are in a separated column. It’s necessary to say that similar cases have been enumerated.


According to this research , inheritance factors play an important role in connection with cornea special features and patients refraction. This is clear and wonderful in monozygot twins in group A. Also , in group B and C lead to this result. More over , other environmental factors have played a role which in group B is less than group C . Group D will confirm above mentioned results , too.


An important role of inheritance will be observed in factors relating to orbscan and refraction. It is in monozygot twins more important than dizygot twins. Also , enviromental factors must be focused with regards to the whole study and the comparison between these groups.
