LASIK with the Schwind AMARIS 750s: the Optimax experience

THE Schwind Amaris 750s is the latest development in the Schwind Excimer Laser platform. We set out to determine the refractive results of this system in combination with Intralase Femtosecond LASIK

All LASIK procedures were performed with the SCHWIND AMARIS 750S using the SCHWIND CAM “Aberration-free” treatment and Intralase Femtosecond laser. Static Cyclotorsional Control was used in 95% of all treatments (140/148 eyes).The optical zone ranged from 6.3 mm to 8.25 mm. Preoperative SEQ was from -1.19 to -8.0. Preop Sphere was from -1.00 to -8.00D. Preop Cylinder was up to -3.75D. Patients were followed up for 3 months.


92% of patients of patients achieved 20/20 vision or better and 22% achieved 20/16 or better. No patients loss more than 1 line of VA. 89% of patients were within +/-0.50D SEQ. Refractions were stable over the 3 month period of review.


LASIK with the Schwind Amaris 750s is effective,safe and stable.
