Abstract Details



Purpose:

The presentation of results in eyes with keratoconus 5 years after CXL (55-63 months follow-up).

Setting:

Eye Center of Diathlasis, Thessaloniki, Greece. 20 eyes of 12 patients with keratoconus has treated with CXL. The average age of the patients was 24 years (11-33)

Methods:

Keratometrics indexes (K1, K2, Kmax), corneal thickness (CT) and visual acuity was recorded before and after 5 years follow-up.

Results:

The results are recorded in the following table ?1 ?2 ?max CT before 44,08 49,08 53,85 468 after 43,7 48,5 52,37 467 Visual acuity improved by 1.2 lines.

Conclusions:

The CXL is a safe method for keratoconus stabilization as shown by the results 5 years after application.
