To evaluate Refractive outcome with femtosecond laser cataract surgery using a standard surgical planning methodology among different surgeons.

Prospective and retrospective, multi-center study of 110 eyes of patients with pre-existing corneal astigmatism undergoing laser cataract surgery with different IOL platforms. A standard surgical planner was utilized to determine patient-specific incision patterns. After lens removal, an IOL was implanted and centered. Postoperatively, refractive residual astigmatism was analyzed at 1 month and 3 months.
Post-operatively, comparable residual refractive cylinder between the two centers 0.51±0.41D (86% less than 0.75D) site 1, and 0.47 ± 0.43D (83% less than 0.75D) site 2 for 1M visit. At 3-month visit there was a slight improvement in residual refractive cylinder but it still comparable 0.50 ± 0.37D (86% less than 0.75D) site 1, and 0.33 ± 0.43D (88% less than 0.75D) site 2.
The use of standardized surgical planning in femtosecond laser cataract surgery provided reproducibly excellent outcomes among different surgeons.
