The European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons invites you to participate as a sponsor in the XXVII ESCRS Annual Congress being held at the CCIB Barcelona in September 2009. Over the years the ESCRS Annual Congress has grown steadily and is now the largest ophthalmology meeting in Europe. This year, the ESCRS Annual Congress is expected to attract more than 5000 ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals with buying power or influence over purchasing decisions to the event in Barcelona. The ESCRS has a wide variety of sponsorship and advertising opportunities available exclusively to companies exhibiting at the Annual Congress.

Tote Bags – €50,000 (Inserts not included)
Each registered attendee will receive their conference materials in a tote bag that they can use during the entire meeting and beyond.The sponsor's name and logo will appear on over 5000 bags.

Leaflets - €7,000 (per A4 leaflet inserted in the congress bags)
Insert your company's promotional flyers into over 5,000 congress bags.

Pads and Pens - €10,000
Have your logo on over 5,000 pads and pens. Every congress bag will include a pad and a pen.

Internet Café – €40,000
The internet café is ranked as one of the most valuable areas of any meeting. Delegates can access their emails and the internet whilst enjoying a cup of coffee.The sponsoring company's name and logo will be displayed on all screens, as well as on signage.The internet café will be located adjacent to the ESCRS stand in the exhibition hall.

Welcome Reception – Price on Application
Sponsor the Congress Welcome Reception and join hundreds of ESCRS delegates as they enjoy an evening of traditional festivities and networking opportunities.The Welcome Reception offers a relaxing environment for the reunion/meeting of colleagues and is an exciting way to welcome all delegates to Barcelona.As well as being acknowledged as the Welcome Reception Sponsor during the event with prominently displayed corporate signage, the sponsor will also be recognised on all printed materials (including an insert in the delegate bags) and on the congress website.

Video Awards – Price on Application
By sponsoring the Congress Video Awards your company has an exclusive opportunity to become part of the ESCRS scientific programme. Sponsoring the Congress Video Awards will also highlight the role your company plays in facilitating the forward development of
ophthalmologists. A highlight in the scientific programme, the Awards Ceremony provides an excellent platform from which to raise the profile of the sponsoring company amongst the delegates. Sponsors will be acknowledged in the congress programme.

Presidents Dinner – €40,000
The social highlight of the congress, this prestigious event takes place on the Saturday evening of the congress. Your company can gain outstanding recognition by sponsoring this event for delegates. 250 of Europe's top ophthalmologists gather for an evening of food, drink and music. Your company name will appear on menus and signage in an exclusive venue.A complimentary box (branded with the sponsor's logo) containing two luxury chocolates will be distributed to each guest.

Electronic Posters – €40,000
All posters accepted for presentation at the congress will be displayed on approximately 50 electronic monitors in a prominent location in the
congress centre.This represents an exciting opportunity to associate your company with the scientific programme of the congress.Your company name and logo will appear on all screens and print-outs.The electronic poster sponsorship includes the opportunity for a company
representative to present the awards for best poster to the winners at the Opening Ceremony.

Delegate Badges and Lanyards – €37,500
High visibility opportunity! Your company logo (and your logo only) will appear on the official meeting lanyards and badges. Distributed at the registration desk, all attendees will be given the official badge and lanyard to wear during the meeting. Both the lanyards and badges will be pre-printed with your company logo on them, keeping your company name visible throughout the event.

Central Session Displays – €25,000
Increase awareness of your brand by sponsoring the Central Session Displays. Positioned in a central location in the congress centre, the Central Session Displays will help delegates arriving at the congress centre to quickly familiarise themselves with what is happening in the current sessions, by referring to the screens to find out what’s on and where.

Online Session Planner – €20,000
The ESCRS Online Session Planner is a new planning tool devised to assist delegates attending the ESCRS Congress in planning their schedule. The session planner is available at www.escrs.org three months prior to the Annual Congress in September and will stay online until the end of the congress.This unique opportunity offers the sponsoring company three months exposure on www.escrs.org, as the session planner is available as a link on the congress home page and will prominently feature 'sponsored by (Company Name)' and the sponsors logo. In addition 'sponsored by (Company Name)' will appear on all pages printed by the delegates.

You Are Here Signage – €25,000
The directional signage offers the opportunity to have your company name and logo (products optional) positioned in key locations with high visibility throughout the Barcelona congress centre. In addition, your logo will appear on 5 large You Are Here! Floorplans of the congress centre that will be used to highlight your booth number and the position of your booth on the floorplan itself.

Indoor & Outdoor Signage – Price on Application
Maximise your company's exposure on-site at the CCIB Barcelona with indoor and outdoor advertising opportunities.Available for companies wishing to connect immediately with delegates as they enter the congress centre, these high visibility signage opportunities can be used to offer a welcome message or to advertise your booth/products in various locations.

Water Stations – 5,000 - 25,000 bottles – Price on Application
Supply the attendees with natural refreshments by sponsoring bottles of water to be distributed throughout the congress centre.With a choice of natural spring or mineral water, your company logo will appear as the bottle label and will be distributed by the organisers in prime locations throughout the congress centre.

ESCRS Exhibition Pocket Floor Guide – €18,000
These popular pocket size exhibition maps open to reveal the detailed booth layout of the ESCRS Exhibition and Exhibitor List.The Floor Guides will include the sponsor's logo and space for company product information, which will be viewed each time the guides are used. A valuable tool for every delegate, the Exhibition Floor Guides will be distributed to all attendees with their registration materials.

WI-FI Area – €17,000
Delegates visiting the WI-FI area will be able to access emails and the internet using their own lap/palm tops via a WI-FI connection. The sponsor's involvement will be recognised with signage branded with the sponsor’s name and logo and a branded loading page (subject to availability).

Relaxation Stations – Price on Application
Here is your chance to offer the attendees a reprieve from navigating the busy exhibition floor. The relaxation station will also provide you with a venue to promote your company & booth location and gives an additional area for displaying product literature. As a sponsor of this area each attendee who receives a massage will be given a company/product branded stress reliever, and the massage therapists on the station will wear your corporate t-shirts.

All Congress sponsors and advertisers of preferred positions in 2008
have the right of first refusal on the same items at the following year's congress. The deadline to exercise this option of first refusal is 19 December 2008. After this date, all unsecured sponsorship opportunities will be offered on a first-come basis.
