The Organiser is the European Society of Cataract and
Refractive Surgeons. The Exhibitor is the company that
signs and submits the application for space. All
communication regarding exhibition space must be
channelled through the ESCRS and orders for exhibition
space will only be accepted on the official exhibition
reservation form.
The rent per square metre in the exhibition area is €650
and this covers the cost of the booth space only.Technical
files outlining details of shell schemes and other services
will be sent to exhibitors in May 2005.
• a deposit of 25% of the total cost of the exhibition
space is due on or before 17th December, 2004
• full payment for booth space is due by 1st April 2005• in the event that full payment has not been received
by 1st April 2005, the Organiser reserves the right to
reallocate booth space.
All exhibitors will be listed in the final programme
provided booth space has been reserved and paid for
before the programme goes to print. The Organiser is not
responsible for errors or omissions in the programme.
The Final Programme will be distributed to all attendees
at the Congress.
The Organiser reserves the right to alter the present
regulations with immediate effect in the event that
orders from the Authorities or other compelling reasons
might make it necessary.
The Organiser shall be entitled to alter the space rented
by the Exhibitor and to undertake limitations of the
rented area. Such limitations can only be made against
a corresponding reduction of the booth rental but shall
not render the Organiser liable to pay compensation.
Exhibitors are not permitted to sublet their booth or lend
it to a third party in part or whole. Exhibitors may not
exchange booths without the written consent of the
Organiser.
Notification of cancellation of exhibition space must be
received in writing by the Organiser on or before April 1st
2005. If notification of a cancellation is received prior to
April 1st, a 10% penalty of the total cost of the booth will
be incurred – e.g. for a ten square metre booth costing
e6500, the penalty incurred will be e650. If notification
of a cancellation of booth space is received after April 1st,
a refund of 75% of the total cost of the booth will be
made, on the condition that the booth space is re-sold.
All Industry Satellite Meetings involving congress
delegates must be organised outside of the official
congress hours which are 8am – 6pm on Saturday 10th
September, 8am – 8pm on Sunday 11th September and
8am – 6pm on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13st
September and 8am – 4pm on Wednesday 14th
September. Companies which do not adhere to this rule
will have priority points deducted, thereby adversely
affecting future booth locations.We would be grateful if
you would inform the ESCRS if you are holding a satellite
meeting.
ESCRS EuroTimes, in association with the Industry, has
developed a Satellite Education Programme. This
programme will be organised at the Lisboa Congress
Centre outside the official hours of the Congress
Programme. ESCRS EuroTimes will provide marketing
and promotion assistance and develop follow-up
materials for circulation with the magazine. For further

Special arrangements, if any, between the Organiser and
the exhibitor which are not included in the agreement
shall only be binding when accepted in writing by the
Organiser.
